Effective date: June 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing apply-bright.com, subscribing to The College Insider, submitting any form on the site, or otherwise using our services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Who can use the Service
The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian. The newsletter and site are written primarily for high-school students, college students, and the adults who support them.
3. The newsletter and the website
The College Insider is provided free of charge. We don't promise it will be published on any particular schedule, and we may change the format, frequency, or focus of the newsletter at any time. We may also pause or discontinue the newsletter, the website, or any feature without notice.
4. Information, not advice
Everything in The College Insider, including articles about scholarships, financial aid, college admissions, environmental careers, and student life, is for general informational purposes only. It is not legal, financial, tax, educational, or career advice. Scholarship deadlines, eligibility rules, financial aid policies, and admissions requirements change frequently and vary by institution; always verify details with the official source before acting on them. Consult a qualified professional for advice tailored to your specific situation.
5. Intellectual property
The content of The College Insider, including articles, illustrations, the College Insider name and logo, and the apply-bright.com site itself, is owned by Apply Bright and protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark law.
You're welcome to:

You may not republish full issues, scrape the site, train AI models on our content, or use the College Insider name or logo to suggest endorsement of anything we haven't endorsed in writing.
6. Third-party links and content
Issues regularly link to scholarship pages, schools, news articles, and other resources run by third parties. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices, or anything else about them. Visiting a third-party link is at your own risk.
7. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Use it for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these rules.
8. Advertising
The site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and may contain sponsored content from corporate partners. Sponsored content will be labeled. Advertisements and sponsorships do not constitute an endorsement of the advertised product or service by Apply Bright.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind , express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses, or that any information in the newsletter is current, complete, or accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apply Bright and its founders, officers, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. In any case, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify subscribers in the newsletter. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
